The first National Conclave on Mines & Minerals was held on 4-5 July, 2016 at Raipur, Chhattisgarh, which was the great success, owing to overwhelming support of all stakeholders of the mining industry. After the 1st Conclave, the Ministry of Mines has taken several new initiatives such as implementation of first round of Star Rating Scheme, Mining Surveillance System, scheme to attract private explorers, etc.
The 2nd National Mining Conclave on Mines & Minerals is being organized in Delhi in Convention Hall, Hotel Ashoka on 15th February, 2017. This will carry forward the successful partnership between all stakeholders to expand mining sector and address the issues, challenges and bring new opportunities in the sector. This will also provide an opportunity of presenting the recent initiatives taken by the Central Government, State Governments & the industry. The conclave will have four technical sessions for interaction on key issues, viz. auctions, explorations, initiatives of the ministry and sharing best practices. The awards for ‘5 Star’ rating to the best performing mines be given and the TAMRA portal & Mobile App. will be launched by the Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) for Mines, Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy in the Conclave.
