International Copper Study Group (ICSG) was established in 1992 as an autonomous inter-governmental organization following a series of ad-hoc meetings sponsored by UNCTAD in 1986 and 1987 to review the world situation on copper and discuss the need for such a body. India is a member of the ICSG since 1997. The head quarter of ICSG is at Lisbon, Portugal. More than 40 copper producing Countries are members of ICSG. The ICSG is the international forum solely dedicated to copper which provides a common platform to industry and government representatives to discuss common problem sharing of data and analysis trend in an objective manner.
